The Evolution

"I try to keep it simple and clean but still who I am. A refined version of the tomboy me, I would say. I don’t really think about. I’m definitely all over the place. I have those days when I want to wear a dress and I’m getting all decked out, but on the daily it’s just a grown up version of jeans and t-shirts and then always some daily boots or Huaraches.

When I was younger it was not very feminine at all. I was such a tomboy growing up. Probably wore baseball caps or a hat or something until I was like sixteen or seventeen. I would just wear my hair in two long braids all the time because my hair was long then. I just wore Vans, sneakers. Probably around eighteen or nineteen I started getting more into wearing dresses and from there it was all downhill, or uphill I guess you could say. The last couple years it’s really evolved where I didn’t want to feel like a little girl anymore. You know when you’re like I can’t go to Forever21 anymore, I need real clothes? So that’s been a lot of it. Just trying to find something that I feel comfortable in but still is who I am. Also having tattoos plays a part in how my fashion has evolved because to me, even though they’re something that I’ve done with my close friends, it ends up being an accessory. When you’re wearing too much print or pattern it’s too much, so things have gotten really simple. "

The Bling

"Ooo my cactus ring. I love the desert, I love succulents, plants, cacti, and my roommate who is also one of my best friends gave it to me. I usually just wear this everyday even if I don’t wear any other ring. This is like my prize possession for some reason. I don’t know why. I love this ring so much."
